Dawn Taylor

Dawn has been singing nearly all of her life. She is one of the newest members of EKKELSIA; she joined in spring 2004 to assist for a special engagement and has been part of the group since that time. Her vocals can be heard on several projects with various local Christian and secular artists and groups. Since the age of three, she has been performing in front of audiences, but it was not until she became an adult that she truly understood what it meant to be “called out” of darkness and into His wonderful light.

Dawn and Marcy met several years ago while Dawn was part of a different local church ministry in Prince George's County, Maryland, during which time Dawn was an active member of the choir and other ministries, including Total Victory Ministries. Little did Dawn or Marcy know that all the time God was planning for them to work together in the music ministry at Victorious Life Christian Center (VLCC) where they worship under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Marcellous A. Buckner.

At VLCC, Dawn is an active part of the Praise Leaders, Mass Choir, Missionaries (president), Singles Ministry, Youth Ministry, and the SHARE Program. In addition, she serves as the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor.

Dawn is a single parent. She enjoys serving God and the loves of her life, Morgan, Delano, and Arianna. She makes her home in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. Her favorite scripture and her philosophy about life is “All I want to do is praise god and bring Him the glory He deserves.
